3 passes in the HKCEE, and Level 2/Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language ; plus a pass in 1 AL subject or 2 AS-level subjects in the HKALE; or
A recognised Pre-Associate Degree or Diploma; or
Being 23 years of age or above; or
Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE.
This course surveys specific topics relevant to students who would like to cultivate a successful and momentous life with motivation. Students will expose to both classic (basic motivational drives such as hunger) and current theories (intrinsic and extrinsic motivation). Furthermore, the universal common themes of success, positive and happiness will be examined.
Total Lecture Hours
Contact hours are 32 hours.
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction will be in Cantonese supplemented by English. (Study materials will mainly be in English.)
Assessment
Students’ performance is assessed by the continuous assessments (i.e. written assignments / projects / practicum) and examinations. The weighting of assessment for continuous assessments is 60% and examination is 40%.
The passing mark for both continuous assessment and examination is 50%.
Students are required to achieve a minimum of 80% attendance.
