3 passes in the HKCEE, and Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese Language & English Language with 2 years of working experience; or
Satisfactory completion of Project Yi Jin Programme with 2 years of working experience; or
Being 21 years of age or above; or
Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE.
This course aims to enhance students’ English competency, and strengthen their foundation in English for further learning. Upon completion of this course, students' exposure to everyday English will be increased so that they are more aware of using English as a means of communication.
The contact hours are 30 hours plus 2-hour exam.
Assessment
Students’ performance is assessed by the continuous assessments (i.e. written assignment / projects) and examinations. The weighting of assessment for continuous assessments is 60%-100% and examination is 0-40%.
The passing mark for both continuous assessment and examination is 50%.
Students are required to achieve a minimum of 80% attendance in each subject.
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction and study materials will be in English.
