3 passes in the HKCEE, and Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese Language & English Language with 2 years of working experience; or
Satisfactory completion of Project Yi Jin Programme with 2 years of working experience; or
Being 21 years of age or above; or
Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE.
The course helps students cultivate strong daily as well as workplace communication techniques. They learn how perceptions influence their interactions with others and others’ responses to theirs. Students also recognize how to improve communication skills and deal with conflict assertively.
Total Lecture Hours
Contact hours are 32 hours.
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction will be in Cantonese supplemented by English. (Study materials will mainly be in English.)
Assessment
Students’ performance is assessed by the continuous assessments (i.e. written assignments / projects / practicum) and examinations. The weighting of assessment for continuous assessments is 60% and examination is 40%.
The passing mark for both continuous assessment and examination is 50%.
Students are required to achieve a minimum of 80% attendance.
