Diploma in Marketing

Admission Requirements

  • 3 passes in the HKCEE, and Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese Language & English Language with 2 years of working experience; or

  • Satisfactory completion of Project Yi Jin Programme with 2 years of working experience; or

  • Being 21 years of age or above; or

  • Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE.

Programme Objectives

The programme is specially designed to provide students with a vocational-oriented, broad-based introduction to marketing.
 
This programme aims to:

  • provide students with the practical knowledge and understanding of marketing key concepts, management theories and skills which they can apply in the workplace.

  • provide a ladder for advanced study at undergraduate level in Marketing or related fields or join the workforce.

Programme Features

  • Graduates can articulate to higher level of academic studies (eg. Professional Diploma); and

  • This programme is recognized under the Qualifications Framework (QF: level 3; QR registration number: 10/001053/3; and the validity period from 29 July 2010 to 31 December 2015).

Programme Structure

  • One-year programme with 180 contact hours.

  • It consists of 6 moduels in total.

  • Classes are usually offered in the evening of Monday to Friday or in Saturday afternoon, usually two lessons per week.

  • Three intakes per year.


Assessment

  • Student performance is assessed by the continuous assessments (i.e. written assignments / projects), and examinations. The weighting of assessment for continuous assessments is 60% and examination is 40%.

  • The passing mark for both continuous assessments and examination is 50%.

  • Students are required to achieve a minimum of 80% attendance in each modules.

  • $16,500 (In two installments, each installment $8,250)
