Diploma in China Business Communications

Admission Requirements

  • 3 passes in the HKCEE, and Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese Language & English Language with 2 years of working experience; or

  • Satisfactory completion of Project Yi Jin Programme with 2 years of working experience; or

  • Being 21 years of age or above; or

  • Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE.

Programme Objectives

This programme will provide an opportunity for students to master Chinese communication for business, coupled with knowledge in both Hong Kong and Mainland China economic systems, thus facilitating our students in pursing any cross-border business careers.
 
This programme aims to:

  • develop students’ communicative proficiency in the field of professional usage.

  • grasp the economies both in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

  • have a better understanding of language as a medium of communication.

Programme Features

  • Graduates can articulate to higher level of academic studies.(eg. Professional Diploma)

  • This programme is recognized under the Qualifications Framework (QF: level 3; QR registration number: 11/001616/3; and the validity period from 25 October 2011 to 31 December 2015).

Programme Structure

  • One-year programme with 192 hours.

  • It consist of 6 moedules in total.

  • Classes are usually offered in the evening of Monday to Friday or in Saturday afternoon, usually two lessons per week.

  • Three intakes per year.


Medium of Instruction

  • The medium of instruction will be in Cantonese supplemented by English (Study materials will mainly be in English.)

 
Assessment

  • Student performance is assessed by the continuous assessments (i.e. written assignment / projects) and examinations.

  • The passing mark for both continuous assessments and examination is 50%.

  • Students are required to achieve a minimum of 80% attendance in each module.

  • Chinese Communication for Business (I)   

  • Chinese Communication for Business (II)   

  • Introduction to Marketing in Mainland China   

Tuition Fee

  • $16,500 (In two installments, each installment $8,250)
