Graduates of this programme may apply to the local or overseas Bachelor’s degree programmes in Social Sciences, such as:
Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons), Lingnan University
Bachelor of Science in Gerontology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
On completion of this programme, students are expected to acquire elderly care knowledge and skills, as well as certain transferable skills which can
contribute to almost every position, for example, problem solving, critical thinking and time management. Graduates, who have fulfilled requirements
of Social Welfare Department, can register as health worker and serve in the following industries:

Social Services
Graduate who has fulfilled the requirements set by the Social Welfare Department will be awarded “Health Worker Certificate” by the Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS) and will be eligible for registration as health worker.
