• 5 passes in HKCEE including Chinese and English or equivalent, plus 3 years of working experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics; or relevant industries with recommendation from employers; or

• A recognised Pre-Associate Degree or Diploma; or

• Being 23 years of age or above; or

• Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE

The programme is designed specifically for industry practitioners to upgrade their knowledge and skills in the field of logistics management. This programme aims to:

• equip students with the necessary competences to pursue a career advancement in the field of logistics management after graduation.

• Foundation Diploma will be awarded and students can apply for Membership of the Hong Kong Logistics Association (AMHKLA) after the completion of first 4 modules

• Professional Diploma will be awarded and students can apply for Professional Membership of the Hong Kong Logistics Association (PMHKLA) after the completed of all 8 modules

• All modules have been included in the list of reimbursable modules for Continuing Education Fund (CEF) purposes

• This programme is recognized under the Qualifications Framework (QF: level 4; QR registration number: 07/001893/4; and the validity period from 05 May 2008 to 31 December 2015).

• One-year programme with 200 contact hours.

• It consists of 8 modules in total.

• Classes are usually offered in the evenings of Monday to Friday, and in Saturday afternoons.

• Two intakes per year.

Medium of Instruction

• The medium of instruction will be in Cantonese supplementary with English. (Study materials will mainly be in English.)

Assessment

• Students' performances are assessed by the continuous assessments (i.e. written assignment / projects), and examinations. The weighting of assessment for continuous assessments is 40% and examination is 60%.

• The passing mark for both continuous assessment and examination is 50%.

• Students are required to achieve a minimum of 80% attendance in each subject.

Award

• An academic transcript will be issued to each student upon completion of the programme.

• A “Foundation Diploma in Logistics Management" will be awarded upon completion of first 4 modules.

• A “Professional Diploma in Logistics Management" will be awarded upon the completion of all 8 modules.
